Spider-Man's Civil War cameo is already in the can

We already know that prior to his appearance in the forthcoming reboot, third Spider-Man incumbent Tom Holland would be introduced in Marvel's Captain America: Civil War. No specifics concerning his cameo had been officially confirmed - apart from that it's happening - until Spider-Man writers Jonathan M. Goldstein and John Francis Daley hit the press circuit this week.

According to the pair, the young Brit has already filmed his first scene as the teenage webhead and they'll be heading over to Marvel this weekend to check out his performance. "We hear good things," Goldstein told Vulture. "We might even get to look at the Spidey suit, which is exciting."

Daley also snubbed a cast list pointing to Jason Biggs, Billy Zane and Hugh Laurie being up for big roles in the next Spidey film. "We've discussed certain characters, but nothing is certain yet, for sure."

Captain America: Civil War opens on May 6, 2016. Jon Watts directs the Spider-Man reboot set to arrive in theaters on July 28, 2017.
