The witching hour is very nearly upon us, and to celebrate, you can get a free Halloween gift via the official Lego store with certain sets.
To be precise, you'll be given the Creator 3in1 Mystic Witch with any purchase of, or over, £100. And even though that price might make you blanch a little (as if you've just seen a... well, you get the idea), it's worth bearing in mind that many of the best Lego sets hover around that region. As an example, the Shrieking Shack and Whomping Willow kit is already approaching that mark thanks to an RRP of £79.99 on Lego's official site, while the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 kit is £209.99 via the Lego store. Just move sharpish; the Halloween free gift is only available while stocks last, and it seems to have disappeared from the US store entirely.
To get you in the All-Hallow's Eve spirit, we've listed some of the best spooky Lego kits available on the Lego store right now (when paired with the best Halloween board games, you'll be in for some very atmospheric evenings). Most of them are pretty new so haven't had discounts, but if they're too expensive for you right now, we'd recommend keeping an eye on the upcoming Black Friday Lego deals.
Lego Ghostbusters ECTO-1 | £209.99 at Lego
With the exception of perhaps Back to the Future's Delorean time machine, few movie vehicles can beat the Ghostbuster's ride in terms of sheer iconic presence. This massive kit does the machine justice and is a great choice for a Halloween build because of it being a picture-perfect recreation of the ECTO-1. Plus, you'll be more than eligible for that free Halloween gift with this one.
Lego Haunted House | £259.99 at Lego
We've heard many, many good things about this set from colleagues who own it thanks to the almost-ridiculous level of detail hidden away on its many floors, so this one is an easy recommendation. It's the quintessential Halloween Lego set.
Lego Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion | £34.99 at Lego
We're huge fans of the Disney parks over here, so being able to take a little piece of the beloved Haunted Mansion ride home is a great way to celebrate Halloween. It won't net you the free gift, sure, but when teamed with something like the Shrieking Shack and Whomping Willow set, you'll be eligible for it.
Lego Disney's Haunted Mansion | £34.99 at Lego
