How to claim Mortal Shell 2 beta rewards
I've got the details on the Mortal Shell 2 beta rewards and how to claim them in the main game
If you played the Mortal Shell 2 beta and want to know how to claim your rewards now the full game is out, I've got you covered. After all, I personally struggled to get my items in the main game, but now have my Flayed Harbinger skin and prologue skip option available to me, so here's how I did it.
Just keep in mind that you need 30 minutes of beta progress to earn the Flayed Harbinger skin and to have progressed to the Marrow Keep to unlock the option to skip the prologue, even the information below won't help you without that.
How to claim your Mortal Shell 2 beta rewards
From experience, to claim your Mortal Shell 2 beta rewards in the main game, you must still have the beta in your Steam Library.
I uninstalled the beta, thus removing it from my Steam library, before installing the main game, and my rewards were not available. However, when I added the beta back into my Steam library, my rewards became available in the main game. This is presumably so the game can pick up on your save data from the beta.
It seems you don't need to have the beta installed again, and you can also remove it from your library again after claiming your rewards, but if you're having trouble seeing your Flayed Harbinger Shade in-game, this workaround should fix it - at least while the beta is still available on Steam.
Do you keep your Mortal Shell 2 beta progress?
Only some of your Mortal Shell 2 beta progress carries over to the full game. Players who reach the Marrow Keep in the beta will have the option to skip the prologue when starting the full game, meaning you'll start once again from your first visit to the Keep. This comes just after you complete the fight with the Mortal Shell 2 Tar Golem.
All currency, weapons, Shells, collectibles, and other items found during the beta will be wiped from your save, but luckily you won't lose anything from the prologue, as you don't pick anything up in the first section anyway. This does mean that anything you pick up in the Mushroom Village, including items, progress, Mortal Shell 2 Tarstones, and your Mushroom Village key, will be lost.
Mortal Shell 2 beta rewards
There is one reward available for participating in the Mortal Shell 2 open beta: The Flayed Harbinger skin, which can be seen at the top of this page. This bloody red skin for your harbinger can be equipped to your player character, giving you this haunting appearance whenever you lose or change your shell.
Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more
To unlock the Flayed Harbinger Mortal Shell 2 beta reward, you simply have to play the open beta for at least 30 minutes, at which point the skin will become available for you to unlock when the full game is released. You won't see this in-game or on your Steam account, but provided you played the beta on the same Steam account as you play the full game, your progress will be remembered and the reward unlocked automatically.
