Best Pokemon TCG Pocket Mega Diancie ex deck
Mega Diancie ex in PTCGP is a glass cannon based around energy input
The Mega Diancie ex deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket is a psychic build focused on energy generation that leads to a glass cannon result, with Diancie able to do huge damage that scales to how much energy you've placed on it. It's a bit risky, but when pulled off correctly, you can one-shot pretty much any Pokemon. In a meta filled with other Mega ex Pokemon, it means you can effectively insta-win many matches, though obviously it requires some setup, strategy and luck to get there. If you want to know more, here's how to make the best Mega Diancie ex deck in PTCGP.
Mega Diancie ex already looks like it might become one of the best decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket, but you might want to see what else the Everyday Wonders booster set brings with our best Pokemon TCG Pocket Milotic ex deck build!

Energy: Psychic
This deck build is effectively broken into three stages of strategy. First, you open with Meloetta or Xerneas, drawing cards and making sure you get the Plaza out for those zero-cost retreats. Secondly, you deploy Gardevoir, who can do respectable damage while also fuelling Pokemon on the bench with massive amounts of energy. Finally, you bring in Mega Diancie ex, who can basically annihilate whatever your opponent has going if you've put down enough energy.
The downsides are that this little bit of setup is vulnerable to disruption, though it's not as bad as it sounds. Rapid card draws from Meloetta and Copycat mean you can get Gardevoir up and running quickly, and Diantha is there to mitigate any early damage opponents get off on you. Plus, the Plaza means that you have basically free control over your own board, and it will never cost you energy again. Finally, Diancie being empowered by energy across your whole board is incredibly good, whereas most scaling attacks before now have been based on energy on that specific Pokemon.
- Pros
- Meloetta is a strong opener
- Mega Diancie ex can one-shot anything if given enough energy
- Good card draw power
- Zero retreat costs with Peculiar Plaza
- Cons
- Vulnerable to early disruption
- Little-to-no healing or recovery
- Diancie has low health for a Mega ex card
