Shadoweave Scraps in Hytale are a vital resource for making any cobalt weapons or armor. But, like just about everything in the game, it's up to you to try and work out where you can get it. This is harder to find than say Hytale copper which you can just mine because, unless you get lucky and walk in the right direction and attack the right enemy, it could be awhile before you work out where it comes from. However, once you know what you're looking for, and where, it's just a case of being tough enough to survive getting it, so here's what you need to know.
How to get Shadoweave Scraps in Hytale
To find Hytale Shadoweave Scraps you'll need to find the cold region on your map. If you can't see an area like the one shown above you might need to explore a little to locate it. Once you see snow, drop a marker and head that way. You'll know you're on the right track when you get a message saying you've discovered the Whisperfrost Frontiers.
Once you've reached this location you're looking for Outlanders - humanoid enemies that wear wooden masks and look like variations of this:
There's a range of them, from berserkers to hunters, sorcerers and more, so take a second to see what you're up against before you charge in. These are tougher enemies, so not an easy early game challenge and it pays to be prepared - some can pelt you with arrows from a distance, while sorcerers can summon two wolves, which isn't fun to deal with. You'll want your best weapons and armor here, and some food to heal up after a fight. You'll find most Outlanders in and around buildings, so look for structures - you'll usually find a few around mines and other areas.
If you want a lot of Shadoweave Scraps then head to the large brown circles you'll see in the white areas of the map. These are Outlander settlements and you'll find a lot of them, as well as chests you can loot for potentially more Shadoweave. However, you'll really need to be well equipped here, as you'll likely end up in a big fight with multiple opponents so it won't be easy. (Definitely bring some Hytale repair kits to keep you armor and weapons going.)
However you get it, once you have some Shadoweave Scraps, you'll be able to start crafting cobalt weapons and armor. That is assuming of course you have some all the cobalt ingots, and whatever else each item needs. You can also use Hytale console commands to get either the Shadoweave, or the cobalt items it's used to create, without going through any of this.
