Are there cheats in Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight?
Does Lego Batman Legacy have cheat codes like previous Lego Games? Yes and no...
Cheats in Lego batman Legacy of the Dark Knight are something that many players expect to find, as cheat codes and similar have historically been a staple of the Lego Games since time immemorial. However, Lego Batman goes about things a little differently this time around, and while there aren't traditional cheats per se, there are similar elements that definitely require explanation, which I'll provide just below.
Does Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight have cheat codes?
No, Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight does not have cheat codes or traditional cheats like you would've seen in previous Lego games, such as the Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga cheats and codes, but it does have some similar gameplay features that can confuse the issue.
For example, there are Red Bricks in Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight. However, these do not provide cheats or gameplay modifiers this time around, but instead provide cosmetic modifiers that allow you to change the colors of your suits and vehicles.
There's also the option given on the main menu to redeem codes in Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight. However, these are not cheat codes, as explained in the attached guide, but instead are used to get additional skins and in-game rewards if you obtain those codes from tie-in products.
How to unlock gameplay modifiers
Certain traditional cheats in Lego games have been changed, so that they're no longer cheats, but skills you can unlock in-game. Most notably, the traditional stud multiplier cheat is now one of the best Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight skills, or rather several of them, as there's two buyable skills, both called called Hyper Combo, that allow you to increase your maximum stud multiplier. For more info, check out our guide on how to increase the Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight stud multiplier as high as it will go.
