Good news anime fans, those eagerly anticipating the final season of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will get to experience it a little sooner than expected, as the hit anime show is set to premiere in US theaters.
On April 14, Fathom Entertainment announced that they will screen the first three episodes of VIZ Media's Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity across the US from June 25 to 29. This means those attending will get to see the first few episodes of The Calamity before anyone else, as the season is set to debut in July.
The screenings will be available in Japanese with English subtitles and with the English dub. Audiences will also be treated to never-before-seen content and an exclusive interview with creator Tite Kubo, chief series director Tomohisa Taguchi, and series director Hikaru Murata. Tickets for the event go on sale on May 29.

However, in 2022, Bleach was resurrected, with Thousand-Year Blood War acting as a sequel to the original series. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War part 3 set the stage for a ferocious battle between the Soul Reapers and Quincies. However, The Calamity will bring that fight to an end, covering volumes 55-74 of the manga's final arc.
The latter half of the official synopsis reads, "The Thirteen Court Guard Squads join forces with the surviving Quincies and head for the Royal Palace, but it’s fallen under the control of the Wandenreich, who have transformed it into the Wahr Welt. The Royal Guard wait for them within the castle, ominously towering against the sky. Beyond the chaos of calamity, what lies in wait—despair or hope?"
Although the full season does not yet have a US streaming date, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity is expected to land on Disney Plus and Hulu this July, where all current parts of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War are available to stream now.
