Someone predicted Donald Glover's Yoshi casting in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie back in 2024 and, yeah, we're going to need this week's lottery numbers.
In case you missed it, Donald Glover – of Atlanta, Solo and Community fame, alongside his music career as Childish Gambino – is playing Mario's green dino pal. Alongside Chris Pratt's Mario and Benny Safdie's Bowser Jr., the cast is starting to feel like a slight fever dream, if we're being honest.
Since then, a tweet from silversfan06 on Twitter has been unearthed. It first mentions how it's likely that a "celebrity" will be voicing Yoshi instead of game mainstay Kazumi Totaka. In the follow-up, they said, "Donald Glover as Yoshi."

After, predictably, the tweet went viral, the user replied, "I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD CASTING." The replies, as you might imagine, are filled with people asking for more predictions.
The shot in the dark is made all the more satisfying due to it coming from an account roleplaying as Silver the Hedgehog.
The character debuted in 2006's disastrous Sonic the Hedgehog and is an ally of the Blue Blur who hails from the future. In IDW's comic run, he also decided to take up gardening as a pastime, a far cry from Yoshi's tendency to swallow apples whole after extracting them from trees and bushes.
Glover joins fellow newcomers Luis Guzman (Wart) and Issa Rae (Honey Queen) in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The cast also includes Brie Larson as Rosalina, with Wario also being touted as part of a recent wave of leaks.
