Thanksgiving is a time for food, arguments with your family, and spending too much money on sale items. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are historically the craziest sales days of the year, with slashed prices on everything (including games), and now we’ve gotten news that Microsoft is getting in on the sales fever too. Corporate mouthpiece Major Nelson revealed the first items of what looks to be a pretty big sale on some lovely downloadable content.
Arcade games like Stacking, OutRun Online Arcade, Bejeweled 2 and The Baconing are marked down 50%, and Super Meat Boy is marked down 67% to the real world equivalent of $5.00, which only a fool would pass up. Add-ons for huge titles like Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Left 4 Dead 2 are also half-off, with Avatar items, Dashboard Themes, and even a few PC games similarly marked down. See the full list here. Major Nelson hints that this is just a precursor to more deals this coming Friday and Monday, so we’ll keep an eye out for you avid consumers out there.
