ReCore has a helpful spider turret who will haunt your waking hours

We saw another glimpse of Keiji Inafune’s new game ReCore on stage during Microsoft’s E3 presentation. It’s a cheery, robotic action adventure starring scavager Joule Adams, and her varied team of Corebot companions.

Along with Titanfall 2, it’s starting to look like E3 2016 could be the year of the grappling hook. Joule uses hers for yanking cores out of robots that inhabit the world of Far Eden. We see Joule zipping around and fighting a host of bizzare enemies, including one that looks like a flying caterpillar made out of televisions. No, really.

The trailer also gives us a better look at her companions. There’s Mack, her programmed-to-be-faithful robot hound; Duncan, a heavy-hitting robot gorilla; and Seth, some sort of nightmare spider-turret, plucked from the very depths of your darkest nightmares. The cool thing about Seth is that he can scamper up certain surfaces, leaving Joules free to grapple to his location. The bad news is that this requires physical contact with a SPIDER TURRET. Nope.

ReCore is due out this year, and you can check out the trailer below. Oh and the music is MSTR Rogers - I'll Take You, by the way.
