Black Friday gaming chair deals are one of the few chances throughout the year for you to get one of the priciest types of gaming hardware without overspending. Gaming chairs are a worthwhile investment, but if you want to see your money go the furthest possible distance, waiting until Black Friday can be a massive help. Thankfully, deals are already beginning to show themselves as we flip to the November page of the calendar. I've sifted through the deals on offer and found the best ones you can make the most of.

I've been reviewing gaming chairs and covering their Black Friday deals for years, so by this stage, I've seen it all. I've seen Herman Miller drop their uber-expensive thrones for a whole month around Black Friday, I've seen deals for go-to recommendations, and I've seen brands try to outdo one another with big discounts. This year, we've had a fair few seats arrive and state their claim to our best gaming chair list, so there are plenty of options to consider.

Herman Miller Embody | $1,830 $1,533.50 at Herman Miller
Save $297 – This is an extremely pricey chair, so it's not surprising that a 25% brings almost $300 off it. We don't know yet whether this will get cheaper before Black Friday, but last year it was a couple of hundred less than it is now. Make of that what you will.

❌ You think it's going to solve all of your back pain problems

Black Friday gaming chair deals - FAQs

When will Black Friday gaming chair deals begin?

Black Friday officially falls on November 28 this year, but if every other Holiday sales swing is the trend to follow, I'd be prepared a lot sooner than that. Last year, for instance, we started seeing Herman Miller and Secretlab put their Black Friday prices up early in October, and this year, Secretlab has already started its Black Friday marketing. I'd start checking this page for the latest discounts as of mid-October, and don't forget that Cyber Monday will follow into the first week of December.

Where will I find the best Black Friday gaming chair deals?

There's no shortage of choice when it comes to Black Friday gaming chair deals, so we've rounded up a few suggestions of where to focus your search this November. No matter whether you want a Secretlab seat or something a little less expensive from Amazon, you should find something to suit you from the list below.

USA

Secretlab: We find that this brand makes some of the best gaming chairs
Best Buy: Steady discounts on brands like Razer, Corsair, Arozzi, and more
Newegg: Less emphasis on the bigger names but competitive prices abound
Walmart: More of a focus on budget brands, but a wide selection available
B&H Photo: Mostly offers Spieltek brand and racing-centric gaming chairs

UK

Amazon: Regular discounts on big-name brands and cheaper models
Secretlab: Expect discounts on the latest models come Black Friday

Black Friday gaming chair deals - what to expect

If you've been caught out by gaming chair prices after finally deciding to seek out a new one, I understand. Gaming chairs are a very expensive bit of furniture to invest in, sometimes by margins that make no sense. Fortunately, that's why I'm here to help you find gaming chair deals during Black Friday. November's Thanksgiving celebrations bring about the best time of the year to shop for a gaming seat because almost all of them drop down in price.

Brands like Corsair, Boulies, GT Omega, AndaSeat, and Noblechairs - they all tend to offer discounts during Black Friday. Even the biggest brands like Secretlab and Herman Miller make things a bit easier for consumers when Black Friday comes around. We'd expect the majority of our favorites list to see some discounts in November, so fret not.

All eyes this year are on the Fractal Refine, which has now been on the shelves for around a year, and is still enjoying the best overall position on our leaderboard. We saw a good discount for it during Prime Day in July, but fingers crossed its first birthday is celebrated with an even better price drop. Similarly, the Corsair TC500 Luxe has made waves in the market this year, and although its price has been dropping fairly often, I think Black Friday may present a good opportunity for its best discount yet.

Another thing to think about this year are the value options. We've had Razer and AndaSeat launch new "affordable" gaming chairs this year, which is a nice addition to a market that usually charges a fortune for a good place to sit. The $299 price point now has plenty of products in it, so if you're working on that kind of budget, this year's new additions may even see competitive price drops come Black Friday.

Of course, the budget offerings are constantly shifting price to try and get the most attention, and Black Friday sales are no different. If you want something cheap and cheerful, you'll be able to find something this Winter, but if you plan in advance, your budget might even be able to stretch a bit further to something that we'd recommend more strongly.

If you want a better idea of what chairs will go on offer and what sort of prices you might need to budget for, take a look at the list of discounts we saw last year that we've saved down below.

How to choose the right gaming chair for you

There are three kinds of gaming chairs to look out for in the Black Friday sale:

  • Traditional gaming chairs: With traditional racer-style cutouts and fabric or leather upholstery, these are the seats most gamers should look for. These are usually designed for desk setups, but more and more these days have footrests and/or are designed for prolonged comfort and posture support. Often, these are the ones to look for if you'd like a flashier design.
  • Ergonomic/office gaming chairs: There are several key brands that make gaming chairs in this style to look out for, but you can recognise them from their mesh backing, lack of cushioning, and more minimalist approaches to posture support. These tend not to be as comfortable, and can regularly have higher prices, but the perk is that you should get more adjustability and features overall.
  • Pedestal gaming chairs: As the name would imply, this style is stationary and built for rocking back and forth, stuck to the ground, and designed to be used for TV setups. Some models have RGB lighting and stereo speakers in them, tailored towards a younger or teen audience.

Hardware Editor

One of my earliest memories is playing SuperMario64 and wondering why the controller I held had three grips, but I only had two hands. Ever since I've been in love with video games and their technology. After graduating from Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in Journalism, I contributed to the Scottish Games Network and completed an Editorial Internship at Expert Reviews. Over the last decade, I’ve been managing my own YouTube channel about my love of games too. These days, I'm one of the resident hardware nerds at GamesRadar+, and I take the lead on our coverage of gaming PCs, VR, controllers, gaming chairs, and content creation gear. Now, I better stop myself here before I get talking about my favourite games like HUNT: Showdown, Dishonored, and Towerfall Ascension.
