Assassin's Creed Unity Murder Mystery Guide

Ancestral Vengeance

There are a total of four locations to investigate in this case, and you'll begin in Teragon's House (bottom middle house on the map). As you snoop around, you'll be lead to the other three locations via the various clues you'll pick up, so let's go find our first body and get started. Yay murder!

Location #1 - Teragon's House

Clue #1 - Dead Body

Visit Teragon's house to kick off the investigation. Glossing over why Arno has chosen to draw the cadaver in the buff for his case file when the man is clearly fully clothed, let's start looking around.

Clue #2 - Statement of Madame Teragon

Speak to the dead body's widow to add her statement to your case file.

Clue #3 - Bloody Symbol

Interact with the Roman numeral scrawled on the door for the next clue.

Clue #4 - Torture Devices

There are a number of torture devices upstairs in the house, so interact with any one of them to have it count as the next clue.

Clue #5 - A book: Almanac: Île de la Cité – XII

The book is on the bed upstairs.

Clue #6 - Newspaper

The newspaper is lying on a desk upstairs and you should now be able to piece together why Teragon got so riled up.

Clue #7 - A book: History of France, Volume 4

Check the desk by the window for this tome.

Clue #8 - Partially Burned Letter

As soon as you find the letter from Prasi in the fireplace, make your way to his house (the house to the right on the map).

Location #2 - de Prasi's House

Clue #1 - Statement of Victor de Prasi

What's this? Someone who isn't dead? How refreshing! Talk to de Prasi to add his statement to your case file.

 Clue #2 - Torture Devices

Take the obligatory gander at a torture device in de Prasi's house to tick off one of the clues.

Clue #3 - Murderer's Blood Trail

Interact with the blood on the floor. It looks like we're after a giant if the size of that footprint is anything to go by.

Clue #4 - Blood Trail Out of House 

Pop downstairs and interact with the blood in the doorway for the final clue in the house. Use eagle vision to follow the trail of blood into the street to the left, and towards the locked house (the top location on the map). This is locked for now, so make your way to Grimany's house (bottom left location).

Location #3 - Grimany's House

Clue #1 - Torture Devices

Check out one of the torture devices for the first clue.

Clue #2 - Letter from Teragon

Check the desk for a letter from Teragon.

Clue #3 - Dead Body

You won't be able to miss this clue, or the opportunity for another nude to add to the case file.

Clue #4 - Bloody Symbol

Interact with the Roman numeral on the wall next to the body for the last clue here, before going back to the locked house with the key you just picked up.

Location #4 - Locked House

Clue #1 - Statement of Anne de Molay

Speak to the lady inside for the only clue here. Now review your case file and start pointing fingers!

Whodunnit?

This was an open and shut case, what with the murderer's blood trail leading you right to the perpetrator - Anne de Molay.

If you've skipped down here because you want to make a quick arrest, go straight to Grimany's house as soon as it becomes available, inspect the body to get the key, then go to de Prasi's house, follow the trail of blood to the locked house and use the key to fine Anne de Molay inside.
