Just reiterating what GOD said below, the screenshot involving the Blue Pikmin does not really seem to suggest they are a throw-able item. Like a lot of the other screenshots they've shown so far for other characters, it just appears to be a "photo op" kind of thing. Chances are, Olimar is jumping/falling just off-screen. Peach's right arm is also nowhere to be seen in that picture (judging by her shoulders, it's probably lower down behind her) and also, if you were to pick up a Pikmin, you would more than likely grab its stem, not its body, like Olimar does (ignoring the fact that historically Olimar is the only person able to do this anyway). In fact, it looks more like the photo's joke is that the Pikmin is pulling Peach's hair rather than that she's about to throw it. Anyway, I like the precedent set that they may be revealing one character a month around the same date. I hope they get all the "veterans" out of the way and either save the newbies till last or keep them a surprise altogether. I agree with other people suggesting that we're likely to see a Pokémon next (probably Mewtwo/Lucario (they're both likely) or maybe Pokémon Trainer) followed by Diddy Kong the month after. However they may also just focus on franchise reps first; they still need to squeeze in the likes of Ness and Captain Falcon, and I also reckon Sonic will be back. Personally I'm not expecting many surprises from the roster this time.

Hopefully that thing Sakurai said means Peach's Toad move (which is her neutral B by the way) is gonna get changed and Toad is playable. He unfortunately won't be though.

Caption: Wii Fit Trainer: "There you are megaman" Megaman: (slowly turns around) "oh no... not again"

Pikmin have never been throwable items to my knowledge. Only Olimar can interact with them and throw them at people.

Caption: DBZ Narrator: The Wii Fit Trainer may look harmless, but little does Mega Man know, he's about to face his toughest challenge yet. A full body workout! Can Mega Man survive? Find out, next time, on Super Smash Bros. Wii U Weekly!!! *cue the DBZ music*

I hope Peach is freshened up this time around. I like all of her B moves, but I would still like her to buy updated. Also, DAT HIP.

Peach is really designed head to toe on that dress, even her goddamn crown and gloves got unncessesary textures that are awesome. There are animations for the air cutting during attacks the Ribbons are part of the effect to show it off and as you said hit both sides now. That's peach's Light Up A smash on the ground, she sticks her hand in the air and hearts comes out, Brawl had this and Luigi was august 8th actually during the direct

Going off the pattern of when they release new characters, I'm predicting next month, they will unveil a character from the Pokemon Series, to tie in with the release of XY. And Diddy Kong will be announced in December/January, to tie in with Tropical Freeze.

The pattern is broken considering Peach wouldve been released with Super Mario 3D World, but it is still possible.
  • J-Fid - September 12, 2013 5:47 p.m.

Maybe someone different will be announced then...

I'm actually thinking TGS we'll get our next brand new character and/or other announcements/trailers.

Good to know that Peach is still letting people know that her hips don't lie.
