PC Gamer’s November issue comes with free League of Legends champion and exclusive skin

It’s happened. I am officially addicted to League of Legends – and I know I’m not the only one. Xfire recently reported sharp increase in League of Legends players – and now PC Gamer is featuring the free-to-play MOBA game on the cover of its November issue (a first for the magazine).

To sweeten the deal, the November issue of PC Gamer will include a redeemable code for League of Legends, which unlocks ranged champion Caitlyn along with an exclusive Arctic Warfare skin. Readers will also get an in-depth look at the upcoming Dominion mode for LoL, which aims to give players a new way to play MOBA games post DotA.

Above: You’ll need the November issue of PC Gamer if you want this exclusive Arctic Warfare skin for Caitlyn. If you haven’t already unlocked the Sheriff of Piltover, the code will unlock her, too!

The November issue of PC Gamer is on its way to US subscribers. Look for it on newsstands on September 13!

Sweet, I just recently started playing this game. I like it better than HoN. At first I really didnt like the art style but it has grown on me. If you liked playing DoTA, you should definitely check out LoL. The runes and masteries system is great, also Dominion looks freaking awesome.

Everyone should try LoL. The only negatives in any of the reviews was that it wasn't too easy for newbies. But they've since added tutorials and the option to play against (rather terrible) computer players. Plus its not like you start off playing the seasoned vets, you rise up through the ranks based on how many games you've played and you get matched up with similar experienced people. If you're completely lost, google or youtube newb guides for LoL, there are a bunch out there I'm sure. But ya, it's 100% free (money only gets you cosmetic changes, really) and it's hugely popular (they reported that 15 million accounts had been made.)

League is free, so there really isn't a reason not to try it out. As for reviews I think GR gave it an 8/10? But I really enjoy the hell out of this game personally. You just need to have good people to play with. Look me up on League if you want tips, name is Bamb0ostick. I'm not pro, but I'm decent enough :P

Im heavily contemplating playing LoL or atleast trying it, has there ever been a review on it here?
  • Vitreosity - August 31, 2011 6:24 p.m.

There is no review, but it's free to play, so just go ahead and try it out! Beware the community; it's very harsh on the new guys. Just a tip; when trying out a champion for the first time, just google "[champion] build" to get an idea of how they play.
