As the news broke earlier this week, happiness spread to fans of cult adventure games inspired by Zelda and ancient Japan that were too beautiful to live. Capcom announced Okami HD for the PS3, a gussied up version of the underrated classic. Not only will it feature a snazzy new looks, it also has added (optional) Move controls. But just how snazzy are the new visuals? The above screens should give you some hint, though the trailer is a helpful guide too...

Okami HD is planned for release this fall on PSN for $19.99/£15.99.

I NEED IT. But seriously, I've played through this at least 5 times on my wii and now I can do it again, only prettier.

And here I thought Journey was destined to be the masterpiece of PSN titles if 2012. Okami HD will certainly give it a run for its money.

I can't wait! I've had an Okami Theme on my PS3 forever, and have Amaterasu avatars too. I loved playing Okami when it came out, and sort of slogged through Okamiden, which might have been better if I hadn't played the original first. I will happily play through Okami again, in HD and with trophies, especially since Assassin's Creed 3 is the only game I can think of that I want that's coming out any time soonish.

I'm a big fan of cel-shaded art styles, and having played through Okamiden (but not Okami), I can say that I really like the core gameplay and story, so this will definetely be a day one buy for me.

I am on the fence about if I want to buy the first game a second time or not, since the other copy I have is for wii and it can't be played with a normal controller.
