When both Sony and Microsoft's motion controlled peripherals first launched, every gaming fan in the world likely had one of two instant responses, either: "oh my god, Star Wars" or "oh my god, Harry Potter."
The promise of these two dreams has yet to be fully realized, but Warner Bros is taking another stab at it with Harry Potter for Kinect (yes, that's actually what it's called.)
So far, it seems like the title will include all of the trappings that HP fans are after in a motion control game, from playing as your favorite character (or your own avatar) to visiting Olivander's to pick up a wand, and choosing which house you'll join.
"Harry Potter for Kinect will engage Harry Potter fans old and new by bringing them into the wizarding world as truly active participants," said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "Kids and parents will enjoy recreating their favorite Harry Potter adventures, from flying a broomstick in a Quidditch match, to battling pixies and duelling other wizards."
Warner Bros. hasn't announced a release date yet, but we expect to hear more about the game at E3 this year.
