Now I can play TF2, oh wait no I can't. My internet isn't good enough, and I'm in Upstate NY too, so I can't play online shooters due to satellite latency. Grr it sucks (I was really big into Halo and Counter Strike back in college too.)

I bought TF2 3 weeks before it went free. It was worth it

I get £20 of HMV vouchers everytime I sell someone Virgin Broadband. These download of the week advertisments are stealing my livelyhood.

I'd love that it's now free if I hadn't already bought it. I don't feel like I wasted my money though, its a very good game (just one that I'm not very good at :p)

You've just got to love valve, lets hope gamers repay everything valve have done for them by remaining loyal to steam when EA launch their new download service, and for the record this is an amazing game and well worth paying for, so even better free, thanks once again valve!
