Westworld’s Logan teases “terrifying” season finale and talks fan theories

Westworld’s season one finale is just days away and Ben Barnes (Logan) has described the finale as “terrifying” – while telling fans to “stop thinking so hard” about trying to crack the show’s many mysteries before Sunday’s finale.

Answering questions on a Facebook Q&A, Barnes addressed the upcoming 90-minute finale by asking fans and multiple timeline theorists alike to “let [the finale] wash over you like a huge, terrifying wave!”

Half the fun of Westworld has been trying to work out exactly what’s happening (and on what timeline)  but Barnes warns “it can ruin some of the surprises” so, y’know, if Logan says stop it, then stop it!

But I smell double standards: the actors were also trying to come up with Westworld theories while filming but “a lot of them were completely wrong.” I’m still waiting to see if my Ford is actually Hannibal Lecter theory checks out…

Ben Barnes also let us in on a trade secret – Logan’s cowboy swagger was actually down to the actor breaking his foot a day before filming and, with Barnes scared of losing his job, just rolled with it and made it a part of the character. Another mystery solved!

How ‘terrifying’ could the season finale possibly be after all that’s gone before it? We’ll find out in just a few days. Try and kill time by watching the trailer for Sunday’s episode.

Westworld airs on HBO on Sundays at 9pm in the US, and on Sky Atlantic on Tuesdays at 9pm in the UK. You can also catch up via Sky On demand or NOWTV.
