James McAvoy says he may go bald for X-Men: Apocalypse

James McAvoy has been discussing plans for X-Men: Apocalypse , and has revealed that he may be adopting a new look for Charles Xavier on this third outing…

In the first two films in the rebooted series, McAvoy has played a younger incarnation of Xavier, complete with shaggy, shoulder-length hair. However, with the passing of time, that may be about to change.

“I’ll be older in this one,” explains McAvoy. “I think I’m losing my hair finally. And, yeah, that’s kind of all I know.”

“I got an email from the [ producer/writer Simon Kinberg ] who informed me he was getting dead excited about stuff, but he didn’t want to divulge anything for a couple of weeks, so I really don’t know.”

Hopefully we will receive some more concrete plot details in the coming weeks, with X-Men: Apocalypse scheduled to open in the UK on 19 May 2016.
