How long is the Halo Infinite beta?

You might be wondering how long the Halo Infinite beta is going to last. After the recent reveal during the Xbox 20th Anniversary Celebration that Halo Infinite’s multiplayer would launch early, players can now download Halo Infinite to get into the multiplayer beta and player the full suite of maps and modes, including 4 vs 4 arena Quickplay and 12 vs 12 Big Team Battle. In fact, almost everything except for the campaign is playable in this version of the game, and the campaign will still be launching on December 8. How long is the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta?

The Halo Infinite multiplayer beta, which started on November 15, will go on right until the full launch of Halo Infinite with its campaign mode on December 8. While the game has not officially launched, this beta is acting as the launch of Halo Infinite multiplayer, with Season 1: Heroes of Reach also launching alongside it, complete with a Battle Pass that you can also purchase. If you log in during the beta’s first week, you’ll also unlock Halo 20th Anniversary cosmetic items, including a skin for your Spartan, the Assault Rifle, and the Warthog.

Head of Creative for Halo Infinite, Joseph Staten has explained in a blog post that the surprise early launch of Halo Infinite multiplayer is technically a beta, since the full game with its campaign mode is yet to launch. Like the test flights in previous months, this beta period is also a way for the developers to stress-test the servers and a large portion of the entire game to ensure the full launch on December 8 is as smooth as possible. Staten also said that, because this is a beta, bugs and issues may still pop up as you play.

While the previous test flights offered a preview of what was to be included, this Halo Infinite beta offers everything that will be available in the full launch of Halo Infinite. All the maps, modes, and playlists will be the same when the game officially launches. What’s even better is that your progress will carry over from the beta to the full multiplayer, including your cosmetic and Battle Pass unlocks.

What can you play in the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta?

In the Halo Infinite beta, you’ll be able to play all the launch maps and modes in two primary playlists: Quicklplay – for small, 4 vs 4, arena modes – and Big Team Battle – for chaotic modes on large maps with plenty of vehicles. There are 10 maps in total, seven for Quickplay and three for Big Team Battle. In terms of game modes, you can expect a mix of the traditional Slayer deathmatch and objective modes across both playlists, including Capture The Flag and Strongholds.
