Halo Campaign Evolved pre-loading times for PS5, PC, and Xbox
You can pre-install Halo Campaign Evolved on every platform but only from certain times
Halo Campaign Evolved pre-loading is a bit confusing since every platform and every edition of the game seemingly has its own rules and times. For many players, you can start installing the Halo CE remake right now, but if you're on Steam or PS5, you may have to wait until closer to release. Below, I've broken down all the pre-loading times you need to be aware of for Halo Campaign Evolved so that you can start playing as soon as possible for early access or launch day.
How to pre-load Halo Campaign Evolved
To start pre-installing Halo, you obviously must have pre-ordered the game on your platform of choice. It doesn't matter if you've opted for the Premium or Standard Edition as both have pre-loading options. Just bear in mind that Premium Edition players can play several days before the Halo Campaign Evolved release time thanks to an early access bonus.
With the game pre-ordered, most storefronts should automatically begin pre-installing the game at the listed time below, assuming you have automatic downloads switched on. Otherwise, check the Halo Campaign Evolved page on your platform's store front or your game library and you should be able to start the early download from there. To ensure you have enough space for it, you should have about 100GB of free space on your console or PC's storage.
Halo Campaign Evolved PS5 pre-loading times
- Collector's Edition or Premium Edition: Pre-loading is live now!
- Standard Edition: July 26 from 3pm UTC
Halo Campaign Evolved Xbox Series X pre-loading times
- Collector's Edition, Premium Edition, or Standard Edition: Pre-loading is live now!
Halo Campaign Evolved PC pre-loading times
- Premium Edition or Standard Edition for Windows PC: Pre-loading is live now!
- Standard Edition for Steam: July 23 from 3pm UTC
- If you pre-ordered the Premium Edition on Steam, you cannot pre-load the game and must download it as soon as it launches into early access
I also highly recommend making sure you get your Microsoft account details ready – or make an account if you don't have one while you wait, so that you can get your account linked and start playing Halo with minimal hassle. You can't play the game without an account, and it's used to make crossplay and cross-progression function, so you can play Halo Campaign Evolved with whoever and on whatever eligible platforms you have available to you.
