Fast And Furious 7 production delayed after Paul Walkers death

After yesterday’s tragic news regarding the death of Paul Walker, production on Fast And Furious 7 has been indefinitely postponed by Universal.

While such a step would be expected, given the number of grieving friends and colleagues involved in the shoot, the studio has no immediate plans to resume work on the film until it can establish how to work around the loss of one of its lead actors.

The Wrap reports that neither Universal nor director James Wan have made any concrete decisions on how the story will be rewritten, or whether the current release date will have to be changed.

In the meantime, all attentions remain focused on the heartbreaking loss of an actor at just 40 years of age. Co-star Jordana Brewster described Walker as “pure light”, while Dwayne Johnson commented, “All my strength, love & faith to the Walker family during this heartbreaking time… we find our strength in his light. Love you brother.”

Our thoughts remain with Walker’s family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.
