Call of Duty Warzone map: Where are the best places to land?

We're six months in now and while it's had a few updates, Verdansk is still the Call of Duty Warzone map. There are a huge amount of distinct locations you can drop down into when you play Call of Duty Warzone, but with 150 players in every standard match, it's easy to land amongst the crowd and be gunned down from the get-go. Here are our best spots to land on the Call of Duty Warzone map.

Call of Duty Warzone map

As a whole, the Call of Duty Warzone map is called Verdansk. There's all sorts of environments within, from barren mountainous terrain to densely packed city streets and buildings. There's plenty of places to choose from, but where are the best places to land?

Arklov Peak Military Base

Just like in PUBG's Erangel, the Military Base is a hotspot of both players and excellent loot. Located at the top of the map, there's not too many big locations nearby so players often flock to this area – especially if it's on the path of the plane – plus it's up the side of a mountain so is a great location for snipers to look down upon the main area of the map.

Zordaya Prison Complex

This is a small location in the south-east corner which means you won't find a lot of players here (unless it's right at the start of the flight path), but it's densely packed with lots of loot. You'll have to make a beeline out of there before the zone shrinks, but don't expect to find much of a fight because it's so far away.

Verdansk International Airport

Other than the main city, the airport is the biggest location on the Call of Duty Warzone map – you could easily loot one end of this place and not see another team. The area around the airport is quite open though, so make sure you don't get shot in the back by snipers if you can help it.

Downtown Tavorsk District

Then there's the Downtown Tavorsk District. This is one of the most populated place on the map because of how big and central it is, but the amount of buildings means there are plenty of opportunities for close quarters combat and again, a lot of loot. Just don't get lost!
