    Beat Boolossus

Get the key in the Safari Room. Go strait down hall and open the door to the balcony. Find the Boos and they will combine.

Suck the ice element. Now you suck Boolossus and crash him on an ice unicorn. He'll break into mini Boos. Freeze some with the ice element then suck them up. If you don't hurry up, the remaining Boos will combine together. Keep repeating these steps until all the boos are gone.

    Extra Treasures

When you are sucking up a large ghost (Like the one sitting in the library), he will drop more treasures the longer you hold on to him. If you manage to suck up 90 of his HP continuously (note CONTINUOUSLY), he will drop EXTREMELY expensive treasure worth up to $10,000!

    The Hidden Hearts and Money

If you are low on life energy, then get out your vacuum and suck in any lamps, chandeliers, or vases. Almost every one will have money or hearts in it, so do it often!

    The Big, Bad Boo's Attacks

In the start of the game, Luigi releases 50 Boos. Yes, 50 Boos. To find the Boos, search lighted rooms with your Gameboy Horror in the corners. Yes, in lighted rooms. A green light means there's no Boo, yellow means you're close, and red means you're right on target! Press the A button to examine the area and hopefully find a Boo. Your reward, a large diamond!

  • GameCube | Submitted by BoGdoGGy51

    Water the Diamond Plant

Below the balcony where Toad is there is a dog house and a plant where you can get one of the game's secrets. Once you have the water element go to the plant before you face the second boss and water it. Then, return and
water the plant after you beat the second boss. Then, once more, return to water it after you beat the third boss. Your reward is a large diamond (Note: if you fail to return and water it, then the plant will wither and die).

    Surprise the Secret Ghosts

Have you noticed that in some rooms there are ghosts that won't appear until you turn your back to them? Well in one room where you meet the first one, there is a shelf of books that
explain that you should wait a few seconds and pretend that you aren't doing anything and then turn around with the flashlight on and stun the ghost so that you can press the R button to suck up the 100 lifepoint ghoul!

    50 point heart

    Finding Uncle Grimmly

After you beat Area 3 and the power goes out, Professor E. Gadd will tell you to find a ghost in a room with a mirror. This is Grimmly and he in Area 1. About the 3rd room after starting the game. He is an easy ghost to catch. Just reflect the light off of the mirror to get his heart.

    Get Elemental Medals

I'm not quite sure where you get the first element card, or the fire one.
To get the ice one, go through the door under the stairs in the foyer, then go right along the hallway in front of you. When you come to a hallway that intersects with the one you're on. Then, go through the first door to your left. Next, point and use your vacuum on the vase with the cubes of ice in it.
To get the water card, go in the backyard near the place you find Bogmire, the second boss ghost. Then, go to the place where the broken water pipe is. Finally, suck the bouncing bubble of water to get the third and last element card

    Chauncey the bad baby

After capturing Lydia, go into the nursery directed by the map. You won't be able to capture Chauncey the same way you did Neville and Lydia. First, make his little rocking horse rock really fast. Chauncy will cry and then wake up. He'll ask if you want to play with him. Avoid his flying teddy bears and suck up his ball. hit him with it. Chauncey will get mad and make you really small. So small, his crib is a battlefeiled. He'll then start throwing rocking horses at you. Run to evade them. then he'll throw big balls at you. All but one disapears. Suck it up then fire the ball at him while he does his crazy dance. If you hit him, you'll be able to suck him in with the poltergust 3000. If you don't get him in, he'll start trying to bellyflop on you. Avoid by running. Then repeat the process until suck him in.

    Bonus Money plus Big Heart

There are two ghosts who, if you can catch, will give you quite a large amount of coins and sometimes a rare gem.

Yellow mouse- Any time you hear a happy sounding jingle after entering a room or merely walking around, search the floor for a speedy yellow mouse. If you can catch it and suck it up, it will give you a bunch of coins. Be quick though, as it will soon disappear into a wall. Two places where I've seen it happen is in the tea room and in the hallway on the first floor.

Blue ghost- If you ever open a cabinet or chest and uncover a speedy blue ghost the same size as the normal orange ghosts you encounter at the very beginning, you're in line for a large amount of treasure. Be careful, it's VERY fast and will disappear almost the instant you catch it in your flashlight. Two places I've seen it is in the left cabinet in the Dining Room and one of the chests in the Sealed Room accessible from the roof.

Note: You can only find these ghosts if the room is still dark.

Big Heart- If you're in dire need of health, you can almost always find a heart with 50 life points in the small bureau near the door in the Nursery on the 2nd floor.

Beat the ghost in the dining hall

First you must have the fire that comes out of your gun. Then light all of the candles next to the ghost[there are 6 candles]. Once you have done that, you can scoop up the food he is eating. Now made ghosts will show up to give the fat ghost more food. While they are out capture them. Now you can scoop up all of the food there for making the big ghost mad. When he gets up and shoots fire at you, you need to go hide behind cabinet near the door on the right side of the screen. Then he will stop shooting fire at you and just sit there. Now you have to be real quick and go over to him and you can see his heart. Apparently now go scoop him up and you should capture him!

    50 Boos = A Big Reward

This one is not really a challenge! Throughout the game, you will be catching Boos with your Boo radar. As you can see there are 50 in all (NOT including King Boo). All you have to do is catch all 50 and Professer E. Gadd will reward you with a golden diamond that is worth
$20,000. That is a lot of dough!

    Beat The Big Baby

If you are trying to beat the baby Chauncey then, here is your answer. Ok first, go to the rocking horse in the back of the room. Then, start sucking the rocking horse so that it begins to rock back and forth. Chauncey will appear over top of the horse and ask if you want to play with him. As soon as he starts attacking, suck up the ball so that it gets stuck on the vacuum, then, keep sucking until you are aiming at Chauncey, finally, stop the sucking and switch to blowing, the ball should shoot at Chauncey, after that he will turn Luigi little. Avoid the rocking horses and when he starts throwing balls at you. When one hits the back of the crib and bounces to the front, suck it like you did when you were normal size and shoot it at him, if it hits him then aim your vacuum up a little bit and when his heart appears, start sucking him in, if you don't get him the first time try again, before he starts throwing the rocking horses, he will cry and start pounding the ground with his stomach, avoid this and repeat the above. When you have finished him off, you will be transported back to the lab.

    Get reading ghost

This made me very frustrated and i could never figure it out, but I finally figured it out a day or 2 ago. There is this one room where there is this ghost and he is rocking in a rocking chair and reading a book (I think it's a book). Anyway, leave your light off because it won't effect him. Wait for him to yawn, then hit him with the flashlight! I don't know why the designers made him vulnerable to the flashlight only when he is yawning, but just like the tootsie-pop commercial says "The world may never know...."

    Beat Bogmire the Graveyard Ghost

Once you beat the fat ghost in the 2nd area, go into the kitchen on the left of his room. Suck up the pots, pans, and the blue ghost. You will get the water medal. Get water at the sink. Put out the fire on the burning door. Go through into the dog's yard. Once the skeleton says to make the dog quiet, suck him up. When the dog eats on his bone, suck him up. Go do a X+A on the weird sparkling light in his doghouse. You will go to the bone yard. Examine each grave until three skeletons pop up. Suck them all up. Go to the big blue grave. When you are in the round fenced off ring, suck up the clear Bogmire duplicates. You will have a shadow ball in the vacuum. This is similar to Chauncey. Shoot the ball at the real pink Bogmire. While he is struggling with the shadow, suck him up and avoid the duplicates.
