Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has officially been out in the wild for a day, and folks are already coming up with all sorts of wacky creations in Nintendo's silly new life sim – like, I don't know, transforming their Miis' pets into adorable Pokemon.
As if its recent free demo didn't bring enough mind-blowing Mii creations, the community is now sharing even more impressive artwork following the long-awaited game's release – and I can't get enough of the cute pixel-style Pokemon I'm seeing everywhere, personally.
Miis can have pets, but they don't need to be your run-of-the-mill cats or dogs. Thanks to the, you know, ability to draw whatever you'd like, they can be anything.

And, unsurprisingly, Pokemon Pokopia is still fresh in the air, so many players are opting to add in their favorite 'mons. Just take a look at this precious Eevee recreation over on Reddit, for example – the pixel aesthetic reminds me of older-gen Pokemon games, and I can't get enough of it.
As its creator notes, though, it's not a simple process. "The biggest challenges are color matching and keeping track of where the pixels go," they write.
They're certainly not the only talented players managing to do so, however. Another – possibly my favorite, as I adore the 'mon in question – fan showcases their Sylveon pet in a separate post, amusingly commenting on how small it turned out. Honestly, I think that's the best part… Who wouldn't love a pocket-sized Pokemon, eh?
Elsewhere in a thread, a creative player offers their own recreation: a sweet little Sneasel.

Then we've got people who are going wild with the whole creative tool system in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, like this one user on Twitter who has concocted everything from Trubbish to Litwick.
Not only are folks turning Pokemon into pets, but they're also transforming their actual Miis into Nintendo's iconic creatures as well. "Here's Pikachu," one such player reports alongside a screenshot of their very yellow and accurate Mii.
This is made all the more mind-blowing when you consider the fact that fans are employing everything from carrots to inside-out bags of chips as styluses. I'm just sad there's no real online feature, though – I need that Sylveon, y'all.

She has written for various publications since her postgraduate studies, including Dexerto, Fanbyte, GameSpot, IGN, PCGamesN, and more. When she's not frantically trying to form words into coherent sentences, she's probably daydreaming about becoming a fairy druid and befriending every animal or she's spending a thousand (more) hours traversing the Underdark in Baldur's Gate 3. If you spot her away from her PC, you'll always find Anna with a fantasy book, a handheld video game console of some sort, and a Tamagotchi or two on hand.
