You'll need to find plant fiber in Hytale right at the start to craft your basic tools - a sword, hatchet and pickaxe. Where to get it isn't clear initially though, especially if you've managed to pick some up by accident without realizing. In terms of where to get it, the answer is 'plants' obviously, but if you don't know which ones cough up the goods there are a lot of options to try before you work it out. Here's what to look for so you'll have all the fiber you need.

And, if you want help gathering, get your friends to join you in Hytale for some extra hands.

Obviously you get plant fiber in Hytale from plants. Shocker, I know. When you first spawn, and leave the building you start in, bushes like the one's above will be your best bet to get started quickly.

If you can't find those, then out in the wider world these little bushes below are also very common and a plentiful source of fiber in the plains and wooded areas:

You'll also often get fiber when you cut down a tree - chop the bottom most part of a single block truck and you'll fell the entire tree at once and usually get some plant fiber among all the wood and sap.

There are lots of different biomes in Hytale though, all with their own plant life. So what do you need to look for when you can't see anything like the bushes above? The short answer is to look out for any sort of plant that has detailing or a texture rather than a single blank and featureless color like grass. It'll also need to have no fruit or flowers as you'll harvest those instead when hitting it. Here are a couple more examples of plants that give you fiber:

As a rule, just punch and slash all the plants you see as you explore and you'll A) get enough plant fiber for everything you need, and B) soon get an eye for what to look for.
