Fortunately, most Directive 8020 key codes aren't required to further the story. However, they do contain special collectible Secrets and other interesting and useful information to flesh out the story.

If you're interested in seeing what these locked doors are hiding, I've listed every Directive 8020 key code below, including one that is needed as part of the story. That said, if you'd rather try and find them yourself, they're never too far from the code reader itself.

If you'd prefer to just get on with things, though, keep reading for all the Directive 8020 key codes you need.

All Directive 8020 safe codes

If you want to find these yourself, I've listed them all separately below. If you're not bothered, though, here's every Directive 8020 key code:

  • Locker room key code: 13576
  • Carter's PC key code: 0828
  • Food storage key code: 0402
  • Diazepam key code: 168
  • Anomaly Log key code: 3196

Locker room key card

The code to the Directive 8020 locker room on a security camera

For the first key code you come across, this is actually the hardest to find. To locate it (if you want to, though you can just use the code shared below), you must leave the locker room, head back to the Atrium, and use the stairs to reach the top level. Across from you, you can open a shutter with your utility strap. Look through the window and use your utility strap again to unlock the door before heading in. In here, you can find a couple of Secrets, but you'll also be able to access a security camera. This is where you'll see the key code for the locker room.

Carter's PC key code

Luna's birthday, the solution to Carter's PC key code in Directive 8020, on a wall calendar.

The clue to finding Carter's PC key code lies in the sticky note on his monitor, which shows the word Luna, the name of Carter's daughter, and a party hat. If you've not already seen it, there's a calendar in the previous room - which also holds one of the many Directive 8020 Secrets - and on the calendar is where you'll find the date of Luna's birthday: August 28.

  • Carter's PC key code: 0828

Food storage key code

Cooper by a note that reads: 'code for food storage 0402' in Directive 8020

To find the food storage key code during the Search quest, you actually need to unlock an extra room. Using the wedge tool, you need to unlock the room in one of the corners of the Mess Hall - it's the only one you can open with the wedge tool. Feel free to have a look around inside, but the code is actually on the door on the way out.

● Food storage key code: 0402

Diazepam chemicals code

The chemical sequence for synthesizing Diazepam in Directive 8020.

This isn't your normal key code, but it does still appear as a key code screen, this time with three digits. I've got a full walkthrough to the Directive 8020 Diazepam chemicals puzzle if you want it, otherwise, the code you need can be found below.

  • Diazepam code: 168

Anomaly Log code

Cernan looks at a note in Directive 8020 that reads: Anomaly Log code CAIF

Stranded on your own as Cernan, you need to find the rest of your crew. It won't help, but there's a screen in Bridge Ops, where you start the quest, that is locked by yet another Directive 8020 key code.

To find the code, walk through the door to the right of the screen and down the corridor to the cockpit. In here, you'll find another Secret, as well as a sticky note that reads: Anomaly Log code CAIF.

Of course, back at the keypad, you'll realize you need numbers, not letters, but it's a simple cypher. Simply correlate the numbers 1 to 9 with the first nine letters of the alphabet, and you've got your solution.

  • Anomaly Log code: 3196

That's every single Directive 8020 key code solved for you, so you can find them yourself or skip it altogether and go straight to entering the right digits.
