Petrolheads, celebrate! The first Fast and Furious 9 teaser trailer has driven onto the internet, hinting at a rough road ahead for the Torreto family. The full trailer will be dropping Friday, January 31 – but for now, check out the teaser above.
Fast and Furious 9, now officially titled F9, marks the second movie in the final trilogy in the Fast saga. And if that's not confusing enough, the teaser begins with a toddler learning how to work on cars – which, of course, is totally normal when you're a young'un in the Toretto family.
Vin Diesel's Dom and Michelle Rodriguez's Letty may have retired to the idyllic world of fixing tractors on their farmstead, but they know something dangerous is coming, with Letty giving the young Brian his dad's cross necklace, to protect him from "what's coming." What exactly may be round the corner remains a mystery, but we do know that Charlize Theron's Cipher is back, and she's ditched the questionable dreadlocks in favour of a bowl cut.
Vin Diesel has also previously confirmed that wrestler John Cena and rapper Cardi B will feature in the movie. However, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has confirmed he will not be in F9, but he could still return to the series at a later date.
When we last left our favourite car boosting anti-heroes, Dominic Toretto had reunited to his family after being forced by Cipher to betray them. Hobbs seemingly "retired" to be with his daughter (though that was slightly undone with spin-off Hobbs and Shaw), and Dom decided to name his newborn son Brian.
