We're sure you were as heartbroken as we were during Fast X’s finale when John Cena's Jakob Toretto sacrificed himself to help his brother Dom, played by Vin Diesel in Fast X (yep, that sentence is still absolutely bonkers, isn't it?).
Then worry not, because it looks like the wrestler-turned-movie star has another high-powered vehicle to start up with in Apple's new movie Matchbox: The Movie, which just released a brand new trailer. In fact, there's not just one vehicle but several, and they're all getting smashed together in ridiculously explosive fashion.
The new film, directed by Extraction helmer Sam Hargrave, follows Cena as CIA agent Sean, who reunites with his old childhood friends from his Matchbox car days (like you didn't have those, either). Unfortunately, his efforts to keep his job under wraps hit a snag when his old pals (comprised of Jessica Biel, Arturo Castro, Sam Richardson, Teyonah Parris) wake up and find themselves forced to tag along with our hero, who has been framed for a crime he didn’t commit.
From there, a globe-trotting adventure unfolds that really does feel like it's carefully parked between Fast and the Furious and The Hangover.
Joining the action are Danai Gurira, Golshifteh Farahani, Corey Stoll and Bill Camp, who will all undoubtedly be screeching, swerving and smashing into one another before miraculously walking away unscathed.
