Spider-Noir's release just got even more confusing, as all episodes will now stream on MGM+ 2 days ahead of the Prime debut
It looks like the complete first season of Spider-Noir will premiere on MGM+ first
Just one month before the new Marvel comic-book show is due to hit the small screen, it looks like Spider-Noir has changed up its release schedule.
According to ScreenRant's summer TV preview, all episodes of Spider Noir season 1 will be released on May 25 on MGM+, followed by the series landing on Prime Video two days later on May 27.
Now, we already knew that the show would hit MGM+ first, but it was believed that only the first two episodes would be available to view on May 25 before all 8 episodes made their way onto Prime Video days later. Amazon has yet to confirm the news, but in a recent press release shared on April 25, the studio stated, "The series will air on MGM+’s linear channel on May 25, 2026, before rolling out globally on Prime Video on May 27, 2026."
Article continues belowSpider-Noir has been produced by Sony Pictures Television in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios. MGM+ is not only a Prime Video channel add-on, but a cable television network in the US, broadcasting the studio's shows and movies. Formerly known as Epix, MGM+ is slowly building up its catalogue, including hit horror series From and upcoming Stephen King show The Institute.
However, because MGM+ is an add-on channel, Prime Video users will have to pay a subscription fee on top of their Prime membership if they want to see Spider-Noir on May 25.
This is not the only way in which Spider-Noir is setting itself apart from other shows, as for the first time ever, viewers will be able to choose how they want to stream the series. Spider-Noir will be available to view in either 'Authentic Black & White' or 'True-Hue Full Color.' The black and white aspect harkens back to the show's early '30s setting.
The series takes place in New York City, where Nicolas Cage's down-on-his-luck private investigator Ben Reilly is forced to grapple with his past life as he suits up as a Marvel hero to protect the city from a flurry of comic-book baddies.
