Linda Cardellini and Julie Delpy are part of Avengers: Age Of Ultron cast

Just when you thought the ensemble for Avengers: Age Of Ultron couldn’t swell any bigger, two new names are announced, with Julie Delpy and Linda Cardellini apparently set to appear in the forthcoming superhero extravaganza.

The news comes off the back of a press release issued by Disney in which both actresses are listed among the cast members set to attend the LA premiere. The studio went on to confirm that both are part of the film, but refused to shed any light on who they might be playing.

Could Cardellini be playing Captain Marvel? It had previously been suggested that the role had already been cast, and that the character might show up in Age Of Ultron, so that’s where our money would lie. As for Delpy, we have to admit to being completely in the dark… all suggestions welcomed in the comments below!

Directed by Joss Whedon and co-starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson et al, Avengers: Age Of Ultron will open in the UK on 23 April 2015 and the US on 1 May.
