A collection of screens from Square Enix's forthcoming Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS have appeared online. They depict scenes and locations from two classic Disney properties, plus a few snippets of Riku and Sora going mano-a-monstero with the reality-chomping Dream Eaters.
Spotted by Siliconera on the Japanese game site Famitsu, the screens reveals snapshots of the Hunchback of Notre Dame stage, La Cite des Cloches; and images of Riku hanging out in Pinocchio's stage, called Prankster's Paradise. The batch also features Riku and Sora going up against Dream Eaters, which can be tracked down and collected for use as allies in battle.
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance finds franchise heroes Riku and Sora tasked with defeating the newly resurrected Xenahort, while building up the ability and courage to do so by adventuring through all new Disney-themed worlds on their journey to become full-on Keyblade masters (what? There isn't an online course?). It is due to drop (dreamily) for the Nintendo 3DS in 2012. Have a look at just some of the iconic people and places making an appearance:
