Production has kicked off on the Wonder Woman solo movie and leading lady, Gal Gadot marked the occasion by revealing the first official image from the film via Twitter.

It's a powerful visual of Diana Prince, wrapped in a dark cloak with Big Ben towering behind her, and a generous teaser for what's to come. As the movie plans to film across Europe from Italy to the UK, it's no surprise to see the iconic capitol landmark make an appearance. But what does it tell us about the story?
As it goes, very little. And Warner Bros. remains tight-lipped on the story side of things, instead choosing to splurge on casting details. Joining Gadot and Chris Pine -- who's set to play Wonder Woman's paramour Steve Trevor -- are a roster of newcomers. Robin Wright (House of Cards), Danny Huston (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), David Thewlis (Harry Potter), Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting), Saïd Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In), and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead). There's no word on which characters any of these newbies might be playing, so let the speculation commence!
Wonder Woman makes her DC Cinematic Universe debut in next spring's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Directed by Patty Jenkins Wonder Woman's solo movie opens June 23 2017.
