When is the Destiny 2 weekly reset?

The Destiny 2 weekly reset, which happens every Tuesday, sees lots of activities and challenges get reset, rotated, or changed, so that you can continue the loot grind and arm your Guardian with the best gear. It also brings vendor stock rotations, new activity modifiers, and sometimes new activities, so there's lots of keep on top of.

With Heresy drawing to a close and The Edge of Fate and the start of a new Destiny 2 saga looming, it's a good time to ensure you've done as much as you can for the last year's Episodes before they get sent to the Destiny Content Vault with final Light and Darkness Saga weekly reset. Here’s everything you need to know about the Destiny 2 weekly reset, from when it is to what exactly gets reset.

What time is the weekly reset in Destiny 2?

The Destiny 2 weekly reset time is every Tuesday at 5pm UTC – that’s 10am PDT / 1pm EDT / 6pm BST / 7PM CEST. For far eastern parts of the world, such as New Zealand and Australia, the weekly reset time will be very early on Wednesday instead.

There is also a daily reset in Destiny 2 for things like bounties and vendor stock refreshes which happens at 5pm UTC every day. Bear in mind that time changes due to daylight savings in your region will cause the weekly and daily reset time to shift too.

The weekly reset is also a good time for Bungie to implement updates and hotfixes, usually resulting in the Destiny 2 servers going offline for maintenance a couple of hours prior to 5pm UTC. When they're back online (hopefully not long after the weekly reset time), make sure you update the game to avoid getting the Destiny 2 error code 'cat'.
