Steam autumn sale starts tomorrow, reports say

We look at the deals, see the Steam sales soon sweeping, while our wallets gently weep. Joystiq has multiple reports of the start dates for Steam's annual price-slashing autumn and winter sales, with the former beginning tomorrow.

The autumn sale will stretch from November 21 to 27, and the winter sale will wage a two-week campaign against savings from December 20 to January 4. Just in time for Festivus!

The leaked dates were first noted in a development diary for horse-em-up Secret of the Magic Crystals, then verified by Joystiq through an unnamed indie developer who said Valve emailed them out.

We have no indication of what the sales will contain, but if they're anything like previous years we can expect lightning discounts, daily deals, and publisher catalog price cuts.

The one upside to compulsively buying 75% off games all throughout the year is that you never get hit hard with the holiday sales. I didn't pick up a single thing in the Halloween one.

I hope I don't buy much during this sale, considering the fact that I bought so many games during the summer sale that I have yet to finish. It sounds interesting, though.

You will get SOMETHING if you open the client, or phone app. Then when the epic winter comes along, you will buy some more IF you open steam....good luck sir.

Happy Festivus for the rest of us! But yeah, tomorrow...but that money was for random black friday food processor this year (sigh).
