New Little King's Story Vita release date announced

The new story

Today Konami revealed the official release date for the upcoming PlayStation Vita title, New Little King's Story, a sequel/remake of the classic Nintendo Wii game, Little King's Story.

The title will now be coming at the wonderfully close date of October 2, 2012. Don't remember much about New Little King's Story? It's OK, we don't blame you. The game has largely flown under the radar, and even the original title was merely a cult hit.

We dug up an old video from way back at E3 2012 (ye olden days) that helps get players into the swing of things.

Ahh! It's going to be download-only. That would explain why Gamestop knew nothing about it when I came to pre-order the other day.

I can't decide if I find this game interesting or just plain stupid...

October 2? Seriously? I almost want to put that in the "too good to be true" category. Maybe my Vita game drought is ending a little earlier than I thought.

It certainly does seem too good to be true and now I'm skeptical towards it, it could either be a train wreck or konami being konami just forgot that they were publishing it and it turns out quite decently.
