Launch trailer for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag lives free and dies

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag's launch trailer is here. It introduces (and just as quickly seems to dispose of) a pirate friend of Captain Edward Kenway, who spends a few of her last hours before her public execution singing his praises.

It looks like Kenway's freedom comes at a steep cost, one high enough to push him past the petty squabbles of buccaneers and into the worldwide conspiracy at the heart of Assassin's Creed--as is wont to happen with this particular family tree.

Black Flag will hit PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 on Oct. 29, on Nov. 19 for PC, and on launch for PS4 and Xbox One.
