Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Oysters guide

Just because a game's a little long in the tooth doesn't mean it's stopped being fun. Come with us as we take a trip through the archives and gather up all the guides, cheats and FAQs from yesteryear for some of gaming’s all-time greats.

Spread throughout the entirety of San Andreas are 50 underwater oysters. Most of these reside underneath bridges or in swimming pools, and grabbing all 50 increases CJ's Sex Appeal and Lung Capacity stats. Grab your snorkel and your ultra-gangsta bathing suit, it's time to go oyster diving.

I thought I just woke up for a dream, and it was still the year 2004 when I saw the title.

When I saw GTA San Andreas I thought it was new about a remake. A month to late I got all the oysters a month ago.

This is the best GTA by a mile. I have been wanting to go back and replay it for a year now. GTA IV looks pretty, but it's just so damn boring. I've tried to beat it 3 times now and got tired of it. I'll never forget one time when I was doing the mission where you had to kill the witness in the cabin halfway up that huge mountain. I took a wrong turn on my quad bike and wound up at the top of the mountain. Rather than ride back down I decided to just drive over the edge and see where I landed. I fell for some time, then landed directly on top of one of the FIB guys patrolling around the cabin, crushing him instantly. I wish to god I had it recorded. Also, the mission where you sneak onto the carrier and steal a harrier jet is the coolest shit ever.

I always enjoyed the mission in the airplane graveyard where you had to ride the bike onto the plane, then had to be really careful to not set off explosives once on the airliner. At that point, always brought my katana and had the ninja skills from the San Fiero gym, and cut everybody up. Then you get to jump out with the longest parachute in the game. Favorite mission Also, don't know if anyone ever tried it, but if you fall out of the plane there is a really funny death video that plays.

Never even knew this game had oysters in it. Also CJ looks dead in all the underwater pictures.

I just can't bring myself to play the older GTA games anymore. Having to run back to the mission giver each time you fail is a major pain in the ass expecially on some of the later missions.

Well said! As a whole we need to appreciate older games more. I'm really down with the whole HD-remake market for this very reason. As for GTA:SA, I just picked this game up for the first time off of the 360's Games on Demand service about 5 months ago and I couldn't put it down until the end! I wish this awesome guide was out then.

Christ, Its amazing how far we've come in 6 years, I love the old GTA games but damn those graphics looks terrible. I just can't wait to see how we will view Killzone 3 in 6 years time...
