We've collated the games that got us talking, the ones that made us think, the titles that really challenged what we expect from videogames themselves.

That's what these 20 games managed to do. Each one has something extra-special - some are simply glorious, unabashed fun, while others dug deep into our lives and still refuse to let go. But they all made a difference, in whatever way, and they all achieved brilliance in our eyes.
