PSP2: Won't be $599, has 4-6 hour battery life?

Sony’s NGP or PSP2 as normal people call it, had its big premiere mere hours ago in Japan. While we already covered the most important facts (dual analogue sticks, two touch screens, PS3-level graphics, Uncharted) here, slowly more info is coming out of Japan on what wasn’t mentioned, such as possible pricing and just how long its battery lasts.

Another question was how long can NGP hold a charge? Speaking to Kotaku, officials said they hope to achieve the same battery life the PSP has, which is between 4 and 6 hours. That doesn’t seem too bad for the power of the tech NGP displays, and given the 3DS’s controversial 3-5 hour battery life, theoretically Sonywould have theslightest edge in this area.

This is only the beginning of all the news that’s sure to slowly reveal itself as the world gets to know Sony’s new handheld. We’ll keep you updated.
