Black Friday gaming headset deals will hit the shelves once again on November 29, which means there's still plenty of time to get prepped for this year's annual sale. If you find yourself needing an audio upgrade this fall, though, it's well worth keeping a close eye on these holiday discounts - we often see some of the best gaming headsets taking part in the sale, with record low prices no less.
We've been tracking Black Friday gaming headset deals for years now, so we've picked up a few tips and tricks along the way. We're rounding up everything we expect to see from this year's sale right here, and sharing all our experience so that you can find the right cups for the right price when the time comes.
Of course, once those discounts do start rolling in we'll be bringing you all the biggest offers on the shelves. Until then, you'll find everything you need to know about this year's Black Friday gaming headset deals right here.
What to expect from Black Friday gaming headset deals in 2024
Dual wireless connectivity, hot-swappable batteries, graphene drivers; gaming headsets are upping their game. What's more, many of these releases made their way to the shelves at the start of last year, so we're hoping for some particularly valuable savings on some of the best cups in 2024.
In general, this year's Black Friday gaming headset deals will offer up discounts on a far wider range of products and many more devices specifically built with new-generation consoles in mind. That's because many of the cups that were released alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series X, and those from last year, have had loads of time on the shelves.
We're hoping to see premium models like the $349 / £329 SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless seeing some significant discounts this year. The Nova Pro is our favorite wireless gaming headset overall right now - and has been since its launch last year. It took a massive $100 discount in October 2022, but hasn't been able to reach those same $249.99 sales prices since then. The best we saw in 2023 was a brief dip down to $299 in last year's Black Friday gaming headset deals. With another year on the shelves and the full gusto of 2024's biggest sales event behind it, though, we could well see this $250 rate reappear. Over in the UK, a £269 sale price hit just a couple of times over the course of 2023, most recently over Black Friday itself. We could see a £249.99 sale price by the time the next round takes place, though.
If you're looking to spend a little less, we're also keeping a close eye on the Corsair HS35. This is a cheap gaming headset, but it still packs a considerable punch for the cash, and with an MSRP already sitting below $50 / £50 it's easy on the wallet as well. We've seen those numbers drop as low as $27.99 / £28.49 in the past, though things haven't been that cheap over the course of 2023 so far. Should Black Friday come through, though, there's going to be some serious value in these golden oldies.
Cutting straight down the middle? Those looking to invest but not break the bank will be watching the Razer BlackShark V2. Again, this is an older model, but it still holds up by 2023's standards and its age should make it ripe for discounting. The $99.99 / £99.99 headset is readily available for around $80 / £80 on a day to day basis, but has dropped as low as $59.99 / £54.99 in the past making it truly astonishing value. Those after a more up to date pick can keep their eyes on the 2023 Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (we'd particularly recommend this model if you're after the best mic in the business). This is a $199.99 / £199.99 headset launched over last year, but we've already seen that MSRP slip to $99 boding well for Black Friday.
Platform-specific gaming headsets like the Pulse 3D and Microsoft Xbox Wireless Headset are going to be tougher to call. The former particularly, as Sony has raised prices of its consoles in many regions so might not be keen to cut it elsewhere.
Overall, we're expecting around 30 - 50% off older devices and 20 - 30% off newer 2024 releases in this year's Black Friday gaming headset deals, with some wiggle room for cups launched just prior to the sale kicking off.

How much should I pay for a gaming headset?
The amount you pay for your gaming headset will be determined by just how far up the quality scale you go, but also by the features you need in your device. For example, super high quality quality audio can be achieved for as little as $99 / £99 if you forego certain wireless connectivity features like Bluetooth and 2.4GHz, drop your expectations for microphone quality, and don't put too much emphasis on battery life.
The most expensive gaming headsets max out at around $349 / £349 - these are your SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pros and Audeze Maxwells, gaming headsets packing every feature under the sun while also offering powerful audio quality to boot. Underneath this you'll be picking and choosing your features - a wireless gaming headset worth its salt but with a few sacrifices will likely sit at between $70 and $150 / £70 and £150 on Black Friday, and the $30 - $70 / £30 - £100 price range is best left to wired models focusing on sound.
What is the number 1 best gaming headset?
The number 1 best gaming headset we've tested so far is the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. If you're buying a PS5 headset specifically, though, we'd also recommend checking out the Razer Kaira Pro for Playstation. The best Xbox Series X headset for most players is the official Xbox Wireless Headset thanks to its low price and surprisingly rich feature set (and built in wireless connectivity with the Xbox itself).
