25 April, 10am GMT: This deal on the new Lego Millennium Falcon just got a little bit better. The set dropped by a further 19p, which I appreciate isn't loads but is still another price-cut. However, I don't know how long it'll last - seeing as the original offer has been hanging around for a couple days, it might be a good idea to snap this up sooner than later in case it fizzles out.

The new Lego Millennium Falcon has only just come out, and it's already dropped to its lowest ever price.
Now, granted, it's not a world-shattering reduction - it doesn't take what is shaping up to be one of the best Lego sets to silly-money territory. But it is a saving of just over £18. Considering how recently the new Lego Millennium Falcon arrived, that's really not bad. It was already a lot more affordable than alternative kits, too.
To be precise, you can grab the new Lego Millennium Falcon for £56.70 at Amazon instead of £74.99. I'm not sure how long this offer will last, though. Other retailers like Smyths had been providing a similar discount, but that's now dried up.
In terms of other savings, the biggest Lego Millennium Falcon (the Ultimate Collector Series version) is also heavily reduced. While it isn't sitting pretty at a record low, it's not too far off. You can get it for £587.99 at Amazon rather than the £700+ it normally is, and seeing as this is arguably one of the best Lego Star Wars sets, I can't complain.
So, the question now is: should you buy this Lego Millennium Falcon set? In purely practical terms, I do suspect this will drop in price even more as part of November's Lego deals for Black Friday (if not before). However, that's a long way away and I can't see it dipping much further until a mega sale like that. As such, now's a good time to dive in unless you're happy to wait a while.
As for the kit's quality, everything I've seen of it is positive. Alongside a more affordable price point for one of the most iconic Star Wars ships (it's so much cheaper than the alternatives), it doesn't take up oodles of space on the shelf. It doesn't feel 'inaccurate' like so many of the smaller sets do either; even at a glance you can say with confidence that "yep, that sure is the Millennium Falcon." Throw in a snazzy stand and I'm not sure what else you need.
