Paul Bettany talks The Visions future after Avengers: Age Of Ultron

After delivering two different performances in Marvel’s cinematic universe, Paul Bettany has now hinted at another appearance for one of those characters.

Talking to News Australia while on a press tour for Mortdecai, Bettany spoke out about a future project the comic book studio has him lined up for:

“That’s the really great thing about the Marvel gig for me,” he says. “I have never known if I have had a job six months out ever in my life. And now I know that they have plans and I can be even more judicious about the stuff that I do outside of that work. I can wait for the right thing and feel really attached to it.”

His first Marvel gig saw the Brit actor lend his dulcet tones to Tony Stark’s droll A.I. Jarvis from the first Iron Man onwards. This year’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron will find Bettany in a live-action role, suited up as Avenger android, The Vision.

Although no specific film was mentioned it’s expected that The Vision will likely show up in Captain America: Civil War. The third solo Cap outing will include Tony Stark in a large capacity that suggests Bettany’s Vision - a creation of Stark’s - will follow his master.

Directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age Of Ultron opens on May 1st, 2015.
