Despite the fact that it’s become an annual tradition, it’s hard for us to bestow “Cyber Monday” with the same level of economic importance as “Black Friday.” This year seemingly every major online retailer had fancy Black Friday deals that then expanded over the weekend, making today’s cheap games seem more like a continuation than a special event. Still, some outlets (like online retailers that are trying to challenge the dominance of Steam) can pull out some impressive price cuts, like EA did today on Origin.
Since Electronic Arts owns Origin, it’s no surprise most of the best deals are on its games, with Battlefield 3 going for $29.99 (as is FIFA 12), and Need for Speed: The Run and Sims 3 Pets going for $19.99 per download. Also included is the very non-EA title Batman: Arkham City, as the just released PC version is going for $24.99. Admittedly it’s not a huge collection of bargains, but what’s there is compelling.
