New Ant-Man images appear online

A new batch of Ant-Man images have appeared online, giving us a closer look at Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, both in and out of the suit.

Alongside the new images, EW has been speaking to Paul Rudd, who says that despite his receiving a credit on the final script, it remains very close to the version Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish put together.

"The bones of it is really Edgar and Joe," says Rudd. "It’s been an emotional roller coaster, but I’m very excited now."

The report also uncovers a couple of additional plot details, revealing that the film begins with Lang in prison for robbing a crooked CEO of a major company.

Upon leaving prison, he runs across Michael Douglas's Hank Pym and steals his Ant-Man suit, before the fun really begins…

Directed by Peyton Reed and co-starring Corey Stoll, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Peña, Ant-Man will open in the UK and US on 17 July 2015.

Disney have also released three further images, including a piece of concept art of Ant-Man almost being washed down a plughole. Hopefully he'll have a Cheerio/Polo mint/Lifesaver for buoyancy...
