    Get More Tech From Orion

    f at all possible, hold off on defeating the Guardian at Orion until after you have researched every tech available to you through normal research. That way, Loknar gives you more picks from the Lost Technologies list. Do not let any other race defeat it first, because you get nothing if you take Orion from one of them. The easiest way to do this is to take control of every system around Orion so that your enemies have limited access to the system. If you notice an enemy fleet heading to Orion, try to attack the colony that it launched from. They should redirect it to help in the defense of the colony, but only if it can arrive in time for the fight.
