Lego City Undercover Red Brick locations are the hardest collectibles to track down in the game, but there is a good reason for this. While there are hundreds of Gold Bricks you can grab on your adventures, there are only 40 Red Bricks in total so they're much rarer, and each one you collect will provide a new effect you can apply to the game, from cosmetic changes to significant boosts that will give you a real advantage. If you want to round up these elusive items, then follow our guide on where to find all 40 Red Bricks in Lego City Undercover.

RED BRICKS #1-3

BURP, DONKEY, AND HONK SOUNDS FOR YOUR COMMUNICATOR RINGTONE

Good news. You get these three bricks just for starting the game!

RED BRICK #4

STUD VALUES ARE MULTIPLIED BY TWO

During the prison mission, climb up to the second level. Then look for a cell with a breakable Lego wall on its left. Break into the cell and break through the wall.

RED BRICK #5

STUD VALUES ARE MULTIPLIED BY FOUR

This is found during the “Dirty Work” assignment in the sewer. Open the cell door to the left of the red color swapper.

RED BRICK #6

LEGO CITY CITIZENS WILL ALL BE WEARING COSTUMES

Enter the fire station in your newly acquired firefighter outfit. Look to the right of the main room to find a boarded up door. Use your axe to get through the door.

RED BRICK #7

REVEALS SPECIAL CHALLENGES IN DATA SCAN MODE

This is found on the second level of the police station. You’ll need the robber outfit and the crowbar to break through the door.

RED BRICK #8

RANDOM POLICE WHISTLE SOUND EFFECTS

Scale the northeast building of the Downtown district. When you reach the roof, you’ll see a nearby building with four doors. You can reach the other building by gliding with the farmer outfit.

RED BRICK #9

MULTIPLIES STUD VALUE BY 6

In the construction site mission, pass the first gate and notice the set of elevated shacks on the left. Use the fire axe to break up the boarded door with the red brick inside.

RED BRICK #10

LONGER BOOSTS FOR VEHICLES WITH TURBO

Scale the large building on the east side of Festival Square. The camera doesn’t show the Red Brick, but it’s behind the rooftop entrance.

RED BRICK #11

INSTANT RESCUE FROM FATAL FALLS

Scale the west building in Fresco and look for the greenhouse. You’ll need the astronaut disguise to get inside the greenhouse.

RED BRICK #12

GREEN NAVIGATION STUDS BECOME COLLECTABLE

On the Heritage Bridge, scale the east tower by accessing the tower’s north half. Ride down the zipline once you reach the top of the tower.

RED BRICK #13

GASSY SOUND FOR YOUR COMMUNICATOR RINGTONE

This can be found during Chapter 11: The Proof of the Pudding is in the Meeting. When you traverse the buildings in Paradise Sands, you’ll eventually reach a roof where you stake out Vinnie and Rex. Before using your scanner, explore the other side of the roof.

RED BRICK #14

PULLS BRICKS TOWARD CHASE

During special assignment “Breaking and Reentering”, go up three levels on the mansion exterior and look for the space crate on the right side. Activate it to summon the Red Brick.

RED BRICK #15

SUPER RAY GUN

Use a vehicle to jump to the tiny island bunker at the east end of Apollo Island. There you’ll find four switches. Hit the switches to reveal the Red Brick at the bottom of the bunker.

RED BRICK #16

CHARACTER CHALLENGES ARE VIEWABLE IN THE DATA SCANNER

Go to the southern end of Auburn and look for a small green trash bin. Break it and use the data pad to follow the footprints. The trail will lead to a Red Brick.

RED BRICK #17

RED BRICKS ARE VIEWABLE IN THE DATA SCANNER

Climb the right side of the south tower of the Auburn Bay Bridge. Cross the tightrope to get the Red Brick.

RED BRICK #18

NITROUS FOR ALL

Take a boat to the underside of Blackwell Bridge. There are several support legs with climbable inclines. One of the supports has a Red Brick.

RED BRICK #19

CLUES ARE VIEWABLE IN THE DATA SCANNER

Go near the mine entrance in Bluebell National Park. Look for a dynamite dispenser. Grab the dynamite and look for a silver crate nearby. Destroying the crate will reveal another Red Brick.

RED BRICK #20

PULLS STUDS TOWARD CHASE

Revisit the Blackwell estate via Free Play. Before ascending the elevator, swing on the flagpoles on the second level and ride the zipline along the pipe. There you’ll find a boarded up door. Access it by donning the maintenance disguise and turn off the fuse box.
