GTA 4 cheats and codes are your ticket to accelerating Niko's journey through 'the American dream' and rising to the top of the Liberty City underworld, without putting in all of that pesky work to get there. You'll never need to shy away from a fight again, as there are cheats to completely refill your health and armor alongside codes to unlock an arsenal of the most powerful weapons.

You can travel in style by spawning various vehicles at your location, and although an official GTA 4 money cheat for unlimited cash doesn't exist you can utilize this option to earn a fortune by selling the rides you call in – if you put in the effort first to unlock the side hustle needed to pull this off. If you want to take control of your game, or just enjoy the chaos you can wreak with unlimited power, then I've got all the GTA 4 cheats you can use listed here. Just remember that some of these disable certain Achievements and Trophies when activated, so bear that in mind if you're targeting the virtual awards.

You'll also want to create a separate GTA 4 save if you're using these cheats, just to be safe – it's unlikely you'll break the game, but it's best to keep your 'main' save clear just in case. There's not as many options, or as crazy potential here as there was with, say, the GTA 3 cheats, but there's still enough to change things up a little and have fun with it.

To activate GTA 4 cheats, use Niko's mobile phone to enter these numbers:

Max health, armor, and vehicle repair - DOC-555-0100 / 362-555-0100
Full health, armor, vehicle repair, and advanced weapons - GTA-555-0100 / 482-555-0100
Basic weapons - GUN-555-0150 / 486-555-0150 (knife, pistol, pump shotgun, micro SMG, assault rifle, combat sniper, molotov, RPG)
Advanced weapons - GUN-555-0100 / 486-555-0100 (bat, combat pistol, combat shotgun, SMG, carbine, combat sniper, grenades, RPG)
Clear Wanted Level - COP-555-0100 / 267-555-0100
Increase Wanted Level one star - COP-555-0150 / 267-555-0150
Cycle weather - HOT-555-0100 / 468-555-0100

The word and number versions of each code are the same, they're just using the letters on the keypad to spell out words that match what the cheat does.

Using GTA 4 vehicle cheats works in the same way as the more general cheats – just get your in-game phone out and type in the following numbers to get a car, motorbike, boat, or chopper:

GTA 4 money cheat

As I mentioned, there's no explicit GTA 4 money cheat to make cash, but you can farm it by spawning certain cars and selling them. To do that you'll need to complete all of Stevie's car theft missions, then once that's done you can sell specific cars by taking them to his S&M Auto Sales garage in Bohan. To make a lot of money in GTA 4, just spawn and sell cars from this list:

That list is arranged in ascending cash value, between roughly $1,200 for the dirt bike and $11K for a SuperGT. However, those prices can vary and you may encounter a bug where a slightly damaged car is actually worth more due to the way value is calculated – so go ahead and experiment to see what you can get.
