The Woolhaven DLC for Cult of the Lamb is finally out, adding new dungeons, characters, boss fights, systems, and challenges to Devolver's superficially sweet sect simulation. However, Woolhaven is its own network of interconnected challenges and perils themed around ice and rot respectively, rather than something seamlessly integrated into the core game. If you want to find out how to try it out, here's how to play the Woolhaven DLC and where to find all the new content.

To start the Woolhaven DLC, players need to do the following:

  1. Defeat all Bishops (you do not need to beat the final boss).
  2. At the North side of your base, a statue will appear of a demonic-looking sheep, calling itself Yngya (shown above)
  3. Give the statue the following resources: Mushrooms x5, Crystals x5, Silk x5, Sin x1
  4. A new path will open up to the right side of the teleporter, which leads to the area Woolhaven, and starts the DLC properly!

This makes the Woolhaven DLC pretty firmly the territory of the late-game, and we definitely recommend that players prepare accordingly. Woolhaven has its own resources and challenges, but you'll still need to upkeep your own camp and cult throughout, so make sure you have enough resources in reserve to deal with its challenges and keep your cultists happy. Without meaning to spoil, having ample food supplies is especially important – your ability to farm will be compromised in certain sections of Woolhaven, and make sure you're harvesting as much of the new Woolhaven Rotburn resource as you can, as early as possible!
