These 2 seconds of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer are enough to convince everyone Sadie Sink is playing Jean Grey
There's no denying it now
Marvel's worst-kept secret is still under wraps. Pretty much the whole world is convinced Sadie Sink is playing Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and this trailer moment you may have missed is yet another piece to add to the mounting pile of evidence.
At the 58-second mark in the second Brand New Day trailer, a concussive blast spreads throughout Manhattan.
As spied by one eagle-eyed fan, the effect is eerily similar to the psychic powers Jean Grey uses in the animated series X-Men: Evolution. Compare the two moments for yourself below.

If Peter Parker's mutating powers weren't already a big enough headache for the wallcrawler, it appears Spidey now has to contend with a mutant in his midst – one that has the power to destroy most of New York.
The Spider-Man: Brand New Day synopsis, meanwhile, has already heavily hinted at a villain no one can see being the Big Bad of the fourth Spider-Man MCU movie.
Couple that with some interesting quotes from Sink herself about not realizing there would be so much speculation about her mystery character and the low-hanging fruit of her sharing the red hair of the X-Men's most famous – and infamous – psychic, then there's already plenty to go on.
Elsewhere, we now have confirmation that Tramell Tillman's character is William Metzger, a prominent anti-mutant activist in the comics. Might he be hunting for Jean Grey? At this rate, we'd be disappointed if she's not in the movie.
